What's this item about? What makes it interesting? Write a catchy description to grab your audience's attention...

A fantasia on colonialism past and present by Obie Award-winner Christopher Chen, directed by Saheem Ali.

Featuring: Andrea Abello, Purva Bedi, Yair Ben-Dor, Lizan Mitchell, K.K. Moggie, Howard W. Overshown, Linda Powell, and David Ryan Smith.

“exquisitely theatrical…guaranteed to raise your heart rate…as dangerous as it is fertile”

Ben Brantley, The New York Times

“an extraordinary new play…unashamedly political yet deeply humane…dares to raise questions that make the audience profoundly uncomfortable, but simultaneously creates a welcoming space to which everyone is invited”

Regina Robbins, Five Star Critics' Pick, Time Out New York

“tense, fascinating…a delicate walk through a field of landmines…balancing right on the edge of a really terrifying kind of despair…Chen wants our active participation, our willing personal soul-searching, no matter how tough things get…there’s real, raw panic in the air”

Sara Holdren, New York Magazine

“brilliant direction..the cast is wildly talented…pristine in its execution”

Ran Xia, Exeunt Magazine

“bristlingly contemporary…a lucid and intellectually nimble investigation into colonialism”

Laura Collins-Hughes, The New York Times

Music by Daniel Lazour
Lyrics by Patrick Lazour
Book by Patrick and Daniel Lazour

Cairo, 2011. A group of students meet in a small flat above Tahrir Square. This is the beginning of Egypt's greatest revolution. With laptops and cameras, poetry and music, these urban youth inspire millions of Egyptians to take to the streets and overthrow their president, Hosni Mubarak. We Live in Cairo, a new musical by Patrick and Daniel Lazour, follows six revolutionaries who spoke for their people and risked their lives for a better future.

Produced and performed at New York Theatre Workshop

ERIK: A Play About A Puppet

ERIK: A Play about a Puppet, by John Patrick Bray was possibly the most fun I've ever had doing theater. It premiered at the Kraine Thater March 2015, directed by Jerrod Bogard and produced by Rising Sun Company.

Three Sisters

April 04, 2014

Back in the spring of 2014 I had the absolute delight of playing Solony in HiveMind's production of Three Sisters by Anton Chekhov, Directed by Jennifer Onopa.

It is, til this day, one of the best production plays I've participated in. The level of love and comitment to the piece from all involved set a benchmark for how I will look at the rest of my acting career.
